Clydebuilt Fettercairn is a single malt Scotch whisky distilled at Fettercairn and bottled as a single cask at natural cask strength. This 2009 vintage was matured in a bourbon cask hogshead, a style of cask often associated with a clearer view of the distillery character alongside oak influence.

For a novice drinker, expect a fuller, more intense experience because of the 56.3% ABV. Bourbon-cask single malts are often appreciated for a combination of malt sweetness, vanilla and oak, with the high strength allowing water to be added to taste.
