We opened a bag of ‘super-fruit’ wine gums containing papaya, pomegranate, blueberries and cranberries as we prepared sweet and delicate hibiscus orange blossom Turkish delight. A wonderful texture, soft and sweet like silk laced our tongues but then, literally out of nowhere, a spicy kick as if we had just bitten on a pink peppercorn while enjoying a mushroom truffle cream sauce.
