The nose starts off fruity – blackcurrant, bramble, stewed plums and baked apples – then we discover brown sugar and puff candy, raisins, sultanas and figs. The palate, warm as a welcoming hug, combines treacle tart, Eccles cakes and dates with Victory V’s, hot cross buns and curry spice.
