The nose was bright and sunny; lemon, toffee, candy floss, meadow flowers and freshly oiled pine with nutmeg on custard and cinnamon rolls. The palate was crisp and dry, perfumed, warming and lively – zingy lemon curd, orange oil, poached pears with clove, liquorice, pencil shavings, pickled ginger and wasabi.
