After two years in a European oak barrique which previously held Golden Promise American single malt, this was transferred into a first-fill apple brandy barrique. The nose had candy corns, cream soda, sour cherry pieces in dark chocolate – and ‘clove-flavoured stewed apple served in a cowboy boot’.
