The initial nose has subtle fruits and flowers – patience coaxes out soft toffee, chocolate-coated foamy bananas and mandarins in syrup; all on clean new oak. The palate has an attractive delicacy – caramel wafers, ice-cream, honey and cherry chocolates, balanced by spiced bourbon, nuttiness and hints of grapefruit.
