Fuaran Ile is a relatively new distillery located on the picturesque Isle of Islay in Scotland, established in 2015. The name Fuaran Ile translates to 'Wild Isle' in Gaelic, reflecting the untamed and rugged beauty of the island. The distillery is situated near the southern tip of Islay, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, and benefits from the island's rich peaty soil and abundant rainfall. Fuaran Ile's founders sought to create a distillery that would pay homage to the island's rich whisky-making heritage while also pushing the boundaries of traditional production methods.Fuaran Ile's approach to whisky-making is unique, with a focus on experimentation and innovation.
