The nose wafted floral camomile tea and lemon peel, various berries (juniper, cranberry, blackcurrant); pottery straight from the kiln, perfume on a woolly jumper and something of an apothecary’s shop. The palate had blackcurrant and cranberry juiciness and tart, zesty lemonade; velvety caramel and condensed milk, some herbal hints and a dry finish of ginger, chilli and charred oak.
