Oloroso sherry splashed on to natural stone tiles as we lay back, took a bite of soft orange sponge cake and lit another cigar. Through the open window a gentle breeze mixed aromas of smoked hay with the fragrant notes from the local bakery – a delicious amalgamation of salted almonds, fresh bread and apricot jam pastries.
