The gorgeous initial nose was full of mentholated, aromatic sherry styles: lots of eucalyptus, dried mint, damp rolling tobacco, fennel seed, tea tree oil and figs poached in armagnac – sumptuous and hugely enticing. Water brought roasted peanuts, Serrano ham, cranberry gravy, wintergreen and heather flowers.
