A light, floral nose – we imagined a cricket pavilion: linseed oil, painted wood, freshly laundered cricket whites, parched summer grass, with peaches and cream afterwards. The palate had mouth-coating sharp fruits (watermelon sweets, lemon and lime, 'cherry lips' sweets) and bakewell tart; then a rather drying tropical fruit-skin finish.
