We hung linen, one breezy, warm summer’s afternoon, on the washing line in a garden with a freshly mown lawn adjacent to a pine forest. On the palate a wave of juicy fruits awaited us – mango, apricot and pears, all sprinkled with white pepper – while in the finish it felt more like a Caribbean-style mango habanero hot sauce.
