The nose delivered unmistakable sherry, rich sweetness and tart fruits – candy floss, brandy snaps and tablet, dried pineapple and cherry fruitcake, charred pine, hiking boots and cough medicine. The sweet, dark, fruit flavours of blackcurrant fruit leathers, redcurrants, raspberries and red wine reduction flooded our mouths; finishing with dry wood, root beer and rancio funk.
