A coastal scene in winter: with reeking lums, saltwater-soaked hessian on freshly laid tarmac, and the scent of applewood-smoked bacon in the air. The palate followed with gusto, serving lollies of beechwood tar, smoked tomato soup, an oily sausage roll and salted popcorn.
