The nose held orange marmalade, apple strudel, plum brandy and port-soaked raisins, with sweeter enticements of vanilla ice cream, fudge and caramel. The palate echoed that with blackcurrant sorbet, tinned peaches, a maple and pecan danish, and doughnuts dipped in cinnamon sugar.
