There were plenty or aromas on the nose neat, ranging from elderflower, gorse and lilies to vanilla slices, cinnamon buns and doughnuts, then finally shoe polish, dried barley and aniseed. On the palate the aniseed was in a cup of herbal tea together with fennel and cardamom next to rich tea biscuits and maple wheatgrass pancakes.
