The initial whiff of nail polish remover soon faded as fruits galore – gooseberries, kiwi, green grapes, melon, apples and banana, all doused in strong peach schnapps – came to the fore. This was mouth puckering, like a spicy Thai chicken stir fry, with the sweet fruitiness of mango and serrano ham in the finish.
