After 12 years in ex-bourbon wood we introduced this into a first fill ex-bodega PX barrique. The nose initially promised juicy fruits (black grapes and plums in a wooden bowl); other aromas included black pepper, eucalyptus, cocoa powder and freshly conditioned leather.
