This opened with a fruit explosion on the neat nose, mainly bananas – as in banana split, banana bread and German wheat beer – while apple upsidedown cake, papaya salad and jammy red fruits also made a guest appearance. On the palate it reminded us of a glass of rivesaltes wine from France, with its familiar flavours of vanilla, baked cherries and honey, but we also noted the taste of mung bean cakes hailing from China.
