This is a 35-year-old Islay single malt from Caol Ila, bottled by independent bottler Decadent Drinks. It was distilled in 1990 and released in 2026 from a single refill hogshead at 44.5% ABV.

For a newcomer, expect an older style of peated whisky where smoke is present but often more integrated and refined than in younger examples. Caol Ila is widely associated with coastal, smoky character, and long ageing in refill wood typically allows the distillery character to stay in focus rather than being dominated by oak.
