Mediocre review score, 79 out of 100
Oily, waxy fruits lead to pineapple, honey and lemon soda, but soapy, resinous and floral notes ultimately make this a poor fit for the reviewer’s palate.

Dram-Addicts Burnside Cask #577 is a 35-year-old blended Scotch whisky from the 1989 vintage, bottled as a single cask at 51.6% ABV. A release like this combines long maturation with the individuality of one hogshead cask, so it is likely to show a mature, cask-specific character rather than a uniform house style.
Oily, waxy fruits lead to pineapple, honey and lemon soda, but soapy, resinous and floral notes ultimately make this a poor fit for the reviewer’s palate.
