91/ 100Outstanding

This is a 27-year-old single malt whisky from the 1998 vintage, bottled for the 2025 release at 42.2% ABV. Its refill bourbon cask maturation suggests a style where the distillate and long ageing are likely to show more clearly than heavy cask influence.

A very mature and balanced Imperial, with a rich fruity core of papaya, banana and guava that is very easy to love.
