This is a young Islay single malt from Bowmore, bottled at 50.0% ABV and matured in a second-fill bourbon cask. For a novice drinker, that usually suggests a spirit-forward style with the distillery character still clearly present, while the cask is more likely to add gentle vanilla and oak rather than heavy sweetness.
