Benromach Single Cask Cask 675 is a Speyside single malt bottled from one cask at natural cask strength, with an age statement of 11 years. As a single cask release, it represents the character of one individual hogshead rather than a vatting of many casks.
A touch rounder and less wild, with citrus notes and pepper emerging on the palate; the reviewer finds it excellent and nearly identical to its sister cask.
A very savoury Benromach with woodfire smoke, treacle, liquorice, burnt cake, leather and tobacco, balanced by hints of orange peel and chocolate.
