Gordon & MacPhail Benromach 48-year-old is a very mature Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, distilled in 1976 and bottled at 43.8% ABV. For a novice drinker, the main point is its age: nearly five decades in cask usually brings a softer, more layered style with greater emphasis on oak and long-developed complexity.
