Complex and intriguing, the nose combined pink wafers and bourbon biscuits with fresh figs on wooden platters, shredded wheat, leather, tobacco, terracotta, gun cabinets and menthol and eucalyptus sweets. The palate found warm, waxy flavours of dark chocolate, brandy snaps, chocolate-coated foamy bananas, bagels with soft goat’s cheese and apples in a sack; the finish leaning toward gingerbread, cumin and clove-studded orange.
