Salty sea spray was carried in the breeze on to fresh oysters, smoked mussels and battered haddock while heather honey was poured over caramel ice cream in a cone. A playful heat on the palate tingled alongside sweet plums and salted liquorice before burnt toast and lavender smoke joined singed croissants and toffee apples.
