A wonderfully sweet, aromatic nose – mashed banana, moscatel wine, crème brûlée, café latte and butterscotch all came to mind. The palate had terrific, viscous textures, with ultra-sweet flavours of caramel, maple candies, walnut fudge and custard donuts, then a dry woody finish.
