It could have been love at first scent as wedding bouquets were flung into the air and carnations, lilies and roses fell from the sky like rain on a hot summers day. Gazing into each others eyes across the mixing bowl we gently stirred icing sugar and Madagascan vanilla beside a Victoria sponge cake that was fresh from the oven.
