We were outside in sunshine (flower meadows, fresh laundry) when a tray of treats arrived (strawberry tarts, vanilla custard slice, lemon meringue pie). The palate was intense, mouth-coating and predominantly lemony (zest, pith, juice and zing); but also with brambles, ginger biscuits, sanded oak and Cornish rum and shrub.
