The nose was summer in a glass – orchards and flower meadows, vanilla slice, brown sugar on mashed bananas, rhubarb rock, strawberry laces and summer creams. The palate was completely different – we encountered pencil shavings, green apple peelings and jalapenos, lemon tart, liquorice, leather and stewed pears with cloves.
