The nose is afternoon tea in a flower garden (Earl Grey, French fancies, Norwegian skolebrød, jammy dodgers, lemon posset and figs). On the palate, custard and raisin sweetness gives way to sherbet lemons, apple sours and sorrel leaf; the finish has penetrating notes of pepper, pickled ginger and oak shavings.
