This subtle nose starts with biscuity notes (jammy dodgers, blackcurrant tart, café noir) – then brine intrudes – rock-pools, barnacles on a yacht, a seaside picnic – wood embers and damp tweed. The palate is a sweet/salty/citric combo – sweet barley, green apple, lobster claws, tequila shots, liquorice and aniseed – the finish is charred oak and smoke.
