We went exotic – how about Malaga ice cream (raisins and sweet wine) garnished with salty smoked bacon, or a roasted pear with blue cheese and chocolate sauce, or indeed fresh Thai galangal? The taste was much closer to home with Dundee orange marmalade, a cheddar cheese board with roasted grapes and wafer biscuits.
