The nose had wafts of vanilla (vanilla ice cream, crème Catalan), milky coffee with fudge and coconut macaroons, hints of toasted almonds and a smear of lemon. Heavenly citrus dominated the palate – key lime pie, lemon posset and cloudy lemonade – accompanied by heather honey and sugar-frosted cornflakes.
