The nose has teasing suggestions of pebble beach bonfire ash and sun-cream, definite sweetness (barley sugars, Turkish delight, Victoria sponge, walnut fudge) and then cigar box and spiced apple introduce themselves at the last minute. The palate offers rum and raisin chocolate, peanut brittle, nougatine and honey, while the finish produces ginger, mace, liquorice, pumpernickel and a parting shrug of tar.
