Sweetly perfumed and gentle, the nose offered yellow fruit pastilles, sugar-glazed yum-yums, honeydew melon, sticky toffee pudding and sugar and cream on cornflakes; maybe hints of polished brass. The palate experienced sweet oak and pine resin, banana toffee, vanilla cream, candy corns, marshmallows and salted caramel – before a Christmas spice mix eventually appeared (like maple syrup infused with cinnamon, nutmeg and clove).
