On the neat nose we discovered vanilla ice cream, tinned fruit cocktail and fresh spearmint, as well as hints of sawdust in a carpenter’s workshop. There was truly a spicy kick with plenty of chilli and pepper notes at first, before sweeter flavours arrived in the form of nutmeg and cinnamon as well as a gooseberry panna cotta in the finish.
