The fragrance was very earthy, spicy and comforting, like primroses at the edge of a pine needle-carpeted woodland floor alongside nutmeg, liquorice and candied almonds. On the palate we initially stayed in the forest, with spruce tips and red berries, before a sweeter flavour of pear mousse with a rosemary chocolate sauce appeared.
