This was a complex nose – Panellists mentioned coconut, pineapple and ground coffee, dark chocolate rum truffles, stollen and mashed banana with cinnamon and honey. The palate gave us a mellifluous marriage between the sweetness of maple candies, yum yums and crème brûlée and subtler, earthier elements of balsa wood model kits, tar and mulling spices.
