The nose wafts caramel, toffee, syrup sponge, treacle, prunes, fig rolls and ginger snaps; maybe some orange peel and geranium aromatherapy. The rich, deep palate has plum jam, marzipan, bitter chocolate and dark toffee, with reverberations of clove, oak and leather to finish.
