The nose started as grass, hay and summer meadows, but then we discovered stewed apples and custard, fruit tea, lemon balm on raspberries, pineapple tarts, ripe fig, and polished wood. The palate was full-flavoured; gummi bears, caramel bonbons, toffee apple, stewed apricot and cinnamon apple polenta cake balanced by mild chilli, stem ginger and dry wood on the finish.
