A fizzy, citric, sherbet aroma like that of an old-fashioned cloudy lemonade next to wine gums, some fresh coconut and vanilla, as well as a hint of ginger and white pepper made this a pleasantly intricate experience. There was a spicy heat on the palate but that soon faded and gave way to a tray of summery Pimm’s jelly garnished with plenty of finely shredded mint.
