The nose gave us lots of sweet indications (nougat, chocolate fudge, vanilla ice-cream, caramel), plentiful fruit (fruit punch, Starburst), putty, painted wood and laundry. The palate had rather more fruit, but also with big, impressive heat in it – we got lime juice on mango and pineapple sprinkled with salt and chilli; the sweetness came through as Lebkuchen, iced caramels and marrons glacés.
