Islay A very clean nose right from the start with aromas of white rye and whole wheat sourdough bread slightly toasted with salted butter, and porridge with slightly smoky chestnut honey. On the palate there was plenty of sweet smoke and ash, balanced by the lingering spiciness of caraway seeds and ginger.
