A conspicuously candied commencement delighted us with barrow loads of heavily charred marshmallows, pink candy floss and burnt toffee with roasted sweet chestnuts dipped in sea salt. Heather and gorse combined to inspire a seaside hillwalking scene with chalky cliffs, dried seaweed and a mostly empty bag of smoked almonds.
