Speyside, Spey The nose was deep and dark, but pleasantly attractive – we found dates, Demerara, mocha, rum truffles and candy floss; a lady’s wooden dressing table and a French polisher’s tool-bag. The neat palate was very sweet – treacle toffee, rum cake, Dr Peppers, and Calypso coffee, but with hints of perfume and Benylin linctus offering intrigue and interest.
