Speyside, Lossie Mmm – delicious toffee, maple syrup, marzipan and Demerara sweetness on the initial nose; we also got peanut brittle, orange oil, apricot Danish, dessert wine and oiled oak – certainly complex. The palate balanced deep sweetness (old dark honey, malt extract, rum and raisin ice-cream) with playful spices (chilli, cinnamon) menthol, sandalwood and tannic oak.
