The unreduced nose was curiously complex – vanilla ice-cream and creamy toffee, but with fresh floral and herbal notes that spoke of summer hedgerows and cooling Murray Mints. With water it seemed more straightforwardly sweet – eliciting a long list of confectionery – pineapple cubes, sherbet straws, rhubarb rock, etc.
