Lowland First we noticed the wonderful deep reddish-brown colour soon followed by aromas of polished mahogany, stewed apples with cinnamon and raisins, Demerara sugar and a Rusty Nail cocktail. The taste neat was full bodied with a chewy texture like roast beef with Yorkshire pudding and caramelised shallots.
